The Mandate
The POMI Foundation is built on the command of James 1:27: ‘To visit orphans and widows in their trouble.’ We are on a mission to restore the dignity of humanity by turning the tide for the vulnerable. Through strategic grants and scholarships, we empower widows and orphans to rise above their circumstances raising a legacy of victors equipped to walk in absolute dominion.

Making Impact
After my husband passed, I felt hopeless and couldn’t support my children. The POMI Foundation helped me with a small business grant and training. Today, I run my own trade stall which helps me provide for my family with dignity. They didn’t just give me aid; they gave me a future.

WIDOWS EMPOWERMENT INITIATIVE
THE VISION: Raising confident widows who are grounded in the Word and have intimacy with God.
THE MISSION: Restoring the dignity of widowed women and helping them find stability and purpose through pain.
The Agape Widows Fellowship:
Birthed by God, this fellowship aims to meet the emotional, spiritual, and physical needs of widowed women across all ages. We cater to the spiritual wellbeing of our members through the deep teaching of the Word of God, fostering a strong bond and the love of sisterhood.
Generational Administration:
The initiative is divided into two groups to ensure we address the specific needs of women at different stages of life:
The Ruth Generation: Comprising widowed women below 60 years. This group focuses on those within the age where they can remarry if and when they choose to.
The Naomi Generation: Comprising widowed women aged 60 and above.
Activities of the Initiative:
We address the vulnerability of widowed women through the knowledge of God’s Word and practical empowerment schemes, including:
Sound Teaching: Deep exploration of the Word of God.
Medical Care: Professional medical attention, including mental health checks and lectures.
Physical Wellness: Sporting activities, exercises, and outdoor games.
Vocational Training: Skill-building for financial independence.
Adult Education: Literacy programs to enable women to read and study their Bibles independently.
Legal & Professional Aid: Direct help for disadvantaged widows facing legal challenges.
Our Philosophy: We believe that a widow who is holistically sound mentally, physically, emotionally, and spiritually is a great addition to the society.
Empowering Orphans for a Brighter Tomorrow.
We believe that every child deserves a chance to dream, regardless of their circumstances. The loss of parents should not mean the loss of a future. We are dedicated to providing orphans with the stability, care, and opportunities they need to thrive and break the cycle of poverty.
Our support system for children is built on four essential pillars:
Education: We ensure that no child’s education is cut short. We provide comprehensive scholarships, covering tuition, uniforms, textbooks, and school supplies from primary through secondary levels.
Guidance and Mentorship: Beyond physical needs, children require emotional support. Our mentorship programs pair orphans with positive role models who provide the spiritual guidance, moral support, and life skills necessary to navigate adulthood.
Skills Acquisition & Vocational Training: For older orphans transitioning out of school, we provide pathways to independence through vocational training and digital literacy programs, ensuring they have the tools to build a career.
We aim to replace the void of loss with a community of love and opportunity, raising a generation of confident, capable, and God fearing leaders.
